Efficiency Ranking of Journals in Turkey with DEA and DR/DEA Methods

Today, all countries publish many scientific studies in order to make progress a sense and plan for the future. Many criteria, such as impact factor, citation count, article score, have been developed measure, compare, rank quality of journals which these are published. These criteria used purposes academic promotion, hiring, publication support, project scholarships. It is extremely important evaluate standards published any field objectively determine their improve standards. In this study, effective analysis was performed on certain Turkey using suitable input output variables selected from criteria. The efficiency scores were calculated Data Envelopment Analysis method Discriminant Ratio applied. ranked according obtained. obtained found give better results evaluating performance journals. addition, compared with journal rankings given by Journal Citation Reports. As result importance objective has once again emphasized.
